We are pleased to introduce Volume IV of NewsBriefs to the ALO community. Beginning with this volume, you will notice several changes to the newsletter. NewsBriefs is published bi-monthly, and each edition will focus on an area of concern to higher education and international development. This current issue focuses on how higher education partnerships contribute to community and institutional development. Subsequent issues in Volume IV will feature the following themes:
· April – Information and Instructional Technology
· June – Workforce Development and Teacher Training
· August – Agriculture and the Environment
· October – Higher Education Leadership and Academic Transformation
· December – Health and HIV/AIDS
Feature articles will cover not only current activities in the focus area, but will also address strategic and thematic issues that confront the international development community.
In addition to feature articles, each edition will include regular sections: Announcements of interest to the community, Grant and Fellowship information, and upcoming Conferences and Seminars.
We appreciate and solicit
contributions from the ALO community for both feature articles and any
news or announcements that may be of interest to the higher education
