| Entries in the “Picturing Change” photography competition illustrate the activities of ALO partnerships and portray the ways both the host country institution and the U.S. institution and their communities benefit from partnership activities. All ALO partners were eligible for entry, and submitted photographs were judged on how well they address development themes and on artistic merit. (View the winners from 2003) |

Residency in the Lao PDR, examines patients as part of the Mobile Team
from Mittaphab Hospital. She has embraced the volunteer spirit shown by
the doctors from the United States and now volunteers her services to
rural communities living in poverty.”
