GrantSearch
GRC’s proprietary search engine, GrantSearch, includes 2,000 private and federal funding opportunities screened for recurrence and for higher education eligibility. GrantSearch is customized for use by faculty, administrators, staff, students, and partners of four-year institutions.
Search results provide a high proportion of viable opportunities because the database excludes solicitations that are limited to a specific region, that make fewer than three awards annually, and for which higher education institutions are not eligible to apply or partner. GrantSearch is updated on a daily basis, and every entry is verified at least once per year. The program description, deadline, verified date, contact information, and link to source documents maximize the utility of GrantSearch.
When conducting custom funding searches on behalf of members, GRC staff uses GrantSearch as the primary tool. In addition, regionally-based private opportunities are identified through the Foundation Directory Online, and state-sponsored funding opportunities are searched for at the institution’s request.
