Date Issued: May 6, 2003 ALO, in cooperation with USAID and the U.S. Department of State, is issuing a call for applications for the U.S. - Middle East University Partnerships Program. ALO will conduct a peer-reviewed competition to award up to eight grants of up to $100,000 each to implement cooperative partnerships between higher education institutions in the United States and Arab universities located in Algeria, Bahrain, Egypt, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Morocco, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Tunisia, the United Arab Emirates, the West Bank and Gaza, and Yemen. Applications for higher education partnerships to strengthen Arab universities' programs should focus on one of the following disciplines: (1) American Studies; (2) Business and Economics; (3) Education; (4) Information and Communication Technologies; and (5) Media and Journalism. |
