Please join us for another extraordinary Academic Affairs winter meeting, a professional development event set in historic city of Savannah, Georgia. Our focus will be on the role of the chief academic officer in creating and supporting the engaged university.

Our schedule in Savannah contains some significant new program options, including:

Cancellation Policy

If you must cancel your registration, you will receive a full refund if the cancellation is before 5 p.m. on Monday, February 2, 2009. There will be a $150 cancellation fee after that date. Special circumstances will be handled on an individual basis.
Guest meals should be cancelled by 5 p.m. on Monday, February 2, 2009 for a full refund; no refund is available after that date.

Hotel

Hyatt Regency Savannah The Hyatt Regency Savannah is situated directly on River Front Plaza with convenient access to the Historic District, shops, entertainment and business centers. Surrounding the hotel are stately homes, landmark architecture, and sights that have made this historic city famous. Board a riverboat or hop on the trolley just outside the Hyatt Savannah’s doors for a moving tour. Hotel accommodations for the Academic Affairs Winter Meeting can be booked directly with the hotel by calling 800-233-1234 and referring to the AASCU 2009 Academic Affairs Winter Meeting. Room Rates The special conference rate for a single or double room is $205 for a single/double plus 12 % tax and a City of Savannah occupancy fee of $1. To obtain this rate, you must call the hotel by Monday, January 12. You can also reserve your room online All reservations must be guaranteed by a valid major credit card, which will be supplied at the time of reservation. Cancellations must be made two days prior to the day of arrival by 3 p.m. If the reservation is no longer required and is not cancelled prior to this time, the reservation will be released and subsequent room and tax charges will be billed to the credit card on file. Check-in at the hotel is at 3 p.m. and check-out is at 12 noon. Transportation From the Airport: Taxis are readily available at the Savannah/Hilton head International Airport at a fare of approximately $24 one way. It’s a little more if there is more than one person in the taxi. The hotel is located 16 miles from downtown Savannah which is about a 20-minute drive depending on traffic.
