Cable Green

Cable GreenCable Green serves as the Director of Global Learning at Creative Commons. He is responsible for setting strategic direction and priorities to build a global movement that will enable robust and vibrant practices and policies for free sharing of education and learning assets. Prior to coming to Creative Commons, Green was the Director of eLearning & Open Education for the Washington State Board for Community and Technical Colleges, where he provided leadership on strategic technology planning, openly licensing and sharing digital content, growing and improving online and hybrid learning, and implementing enterprise learning technologies and student support services. One innovative project, the Open Course Library, created low-cost, digital, openly licensed instructional materials for 81 high impact community college courses.

Vincent Tinto

Vincent TintoVincent Tinto, a long-time professor at Syracuse University, has carried out research and has written extensively on higher education, particularly on student retention and the impact of learning communities on student growth and attainment. He is currently working with a variety of foundation and organizations on efforts to increase student success in higher education, especially among low-income and under-served students. His forthcoming book from The University of Chicago Press (2012) entitled Completing College provides a framework for institutional action for student success and shows how it can be applied to guide institutional programs and policies.
