About the Conference
Continuing our focus on student success, the AASCU Academic
Affairs Winter Meeting will examine ways for institutions to make the pathway
through college less complicated and more straightforward, not just for those
who enter as freshmen, but also for transfer students. We, along with the many others who are
engaged in pathways work around the country, believe that being clear about the
paths that students should take will increase the number of students who
graduate, while reducing the time and money it takes to complete an
undergraduate degree. Our meeting will
explore the full range of pathways work that is occurring on today’s college
campuses—from meta-majors, to general education reform, and beyond—with a
particular emphasis on how to successfully implement pathways initiatives at
In addition to our special focus
on pathways, the Academic Affairs Winter Meeting will also feature an array of
other topics of concern to the academic community, including new designs for
the first year of college; new models of transfer student support; new
approaches to advising, program prioritization and course re-design; and innovations
in civic engagement, faculty recruitment, professional development, academic
program development, international education, learning outcomes assessment,
creating an optimal learning environment, et cetera.

otherwise noted, registration fees include all program sessions and materials,
the opening reception on Thursday, breakfast on Friday, lunch and the closing
reception on Saturday, refreshments, and all breaks.
/ CAO: $650
If you are the provost or CAO of an AASCU member institution, your registration
fee is $650. All other representatives from your campus should pay the reduced
registration fee (see below).
Other Campus Representative: $550
Provosts are encouraged to invite other individuals from their campuses (deans,
associate provosts, student affairs representatives, faculty members, etc.) to
attend the meeting. These individuals should pay the reduced registration fee
Individuals who are not employed at AASCU member campuses should pay the
Non-Member registration fee.
Sponsor (with a fee waiver): $0
Spouse / Partner / Guest: $150
This registration fee includes the opening reception on Thursday, breakfast on
Friday and the closing reception on Saturday.

Cancellation & Refund Policytop
If an individual must cancel their registration (or that of
their guest), they will receive a full refund if the cancellation is received
before 5p.m. EST on Monday, January 16, 2017. There will be a $200 cancellation
fee after January 16. Special circumstances will be handled on a case-by-case
