My First Generation Story
About the Student
Michael Leading Horse
grew up in O'Neill, Nebraska. He says he always knew that he was going
to attend college. At
UNO, he has focused his studies on information assurance and
psychology with the goal of working someday at the FBI. He has also
become active in the university’s Inter-Tribal Student Council, an
organization made up of both Native and non-Native
students. Michael recently organized the group’s annual Pow
Wow, which brings native drummer and dance groups to campus.
