Deborah S. Cooper, a Kennesaw State University alumna (Psychology, 1998), is lead research specialist at the Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center at Emory University’s School of Medicine in Atlanta. She is part of a team that prepares brain tissue from deceased dementia patients for research led by Emory University neurologists who are looking into the causes of the disease and searching for cures and preventative treatments. After graduating from Kennesaw State University, she earned a master’s in experimental neuropsychology from George Mason University in 2002.
