Theresa Gregor is an assistant professor of American Indian Studies at California State University Long Beach, becoming the department’s first tenure-track hire since the 1970s. Gregor is a descendant of the Iipay Nation of Santa Ysabel and Yaqui Nation. She previously was an adjunct professor in the Department of American Indian Studies at CSUSM and worked as the lead researcher for the university’s California Indian Culture and Sovereignty Center. Gregor serves on CSUSM’s Native Advisory Council, and has also served on the Community Advisory Council for SDG&E and is a former executive director of the Inter-Tribal Long Term Recovery Foundation.
