Emergency Care and Rescue
Weber State University
Amanda King graduated from West Point in 2006 and served eight years in the Army. During one of her three tours in Afghanistan, her friend, an Army nurse, was killed during a rescue mission. Wanting to follow in her friend’s career footsteps, Amanda sought a career in medicine. At Weber State University, Amanda honored her friend by graduating from the paramedic program. Today, she works for a private ambulance service and is training to become a fire department paramedic.
