Hosko began his career with the FBI as a special agent in 1984. He investigated white-collar crimes before moving to the violent crimes task force. Hosko moved up the ranks, leading the FBI in the 2002 sniper shootings in Washington, D.C. and as the on-scene commander of FBI personnel deployed to Afghanistan. He was promoted to assistant director of the Criminal Investigative Division and recently was in the news speaking on behalf of the FBI regarding the crackdown on sex-trafficking raids across the U.S.
