Frank James devotes his medical career to public health, serving many roles including director of a large non-profit clinic. He organized and served as adviser of the Pipeline Safety Trust after a fatal gasoline explosion; works with the local tribes; is a faculty member at the UW School of Public Health; and is a lecturer at Fairhaven College. In addition, James completed a 10-year grant studying the role of antioxidants in the prevention of cancer, and is part of the medical research team evaluating the health effects of coal trains. He also volunteers with many health-related programs in India, China, East Timor and Taiwan.
