| Roger Benjamin is president of the Council for Aid to Education (N.Y.) and a senior research analyst at RAND. His Council has developed the Collegiate Learning
Assessment as a non-high stakes approach to understanding what value institutions add to student learning and who those results can help institutions guide critical
reallocation decision. While acknowledging the limitations of existing accountability measures he argues that we can measure some important things perfectly well
and that there needs to be a rebalancing of content with higher order skill in the curriculum. |
