International Education Week is an opportunity to celebrate the benefits of international education and exchange worldwide. This year international education week will be celebrated November
15-19, 2021.
Across the United States, this week represents a joint initiative of the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education as part of their efforts to promote programs that prepare Americans for a global environment and attract future leaders from abroad to study,
learn, and exchange experiences.
AASCU is sponsoring the following activities:
- World 101 Summit
November 15, 1-4:00 PM EST
The World101 Summit explores the myriad of ways that faculty and staff teams from ADP campuses have collaborated to design and implement curricular and co-curricular programming to deepen student learning using World101 from the Council on Foreign Relations, a free resource
established as a means to understand our role in the interdependent global society. This Summit provides a place to hear from students & faculty & staff, as well as a place to discuss additional ways to deepen global civic knowledge.
- Global Literacy Talks - "Championing the Global Agenda: American Higher Ed's Role in Advancing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)"

This session features Ramu Damodaran, First Chief, United Nations Academic Impact. It focuses on the role of American Higher Education institutions in advancing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to champion the global agenda. SDGs are an urgent call for action by all countries - developed and developing - in a
global partnership to end poverty, improve health and education, reduce inequality, spur economic growth, tackle climate change and more.
- French Matchmaking and Networking Event
November 18, 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM EST
French and US colleges and universities are invited
to participate in a “speed-dating” session to make connections with potential
partners. AASCU, the French Embassy in
the United States and the Embassy of the United States of America in France
invite you to an online networking event. You will have the opportunity to
present your initial thoughts and ideas related to areas of collaboration with
potential partners.

China Studies Institute webinar series,
Traditional Chinese Medicine
November 18, 8:30–10:00 p.m. EST
Participants will learn about the common ideas behind Traditional Chinese Medicine, and more specifically about acupuncture and Moxibustion.
