Currently a graduate student at California State University, Northridge, Samantha Wauls comes from a single-parent family in Pomona, California. Her mother instilled the value of an education, because she was a working class parent who wanted a better life for her children. While Samantha was in middle school, a college prep program motivated her to attend college. Samantha has excelled at Cal State Northridge, earning a bachelor’s in Pan-African Studies and continuing her education by pursuing an M.A. in Interdisciplinary Studies. She has a dream of becoming an International Human Rights attorney to advocate for impoverished communities in America and developing countries.
