Brandon Alexander Robinson received his master’s degree in history from Western Carolina University this past spring. A 2005 graduate of WCU with a bachelor’s degree in history, the resident of Mocksville, N.C., plans to attend law school. In recognition of his oratorical skills, he has been chosen to speak at numerous campus-wide events. Robinson is a recipient of WCU’s History Excellence and Alice Mathews awards. Desiring to be a man of letters, he set a goal of reading 3,000 books on philosophy, history, theology, literature and political biography in his lifetime. Since his freshman year at WCU, he has read 532.
