    Why AASCU

The American Association of State Colleges and Universities (AASCU) represents nearly 400 public regional comprehensive colleges, universities, and systems.

AASCU institutions advance social mobility for students of all backgrounds, positively impacting them, their families, and their communities. Offering more than 3 million students each year an affordable, high-quality college education—particularly students from lower-income families, first-generation college students, and/or students of color—AASCU institutions are stewards of their communities, powering economic growth and preparing graduates to be informed and engaged citizens who live by the values of a democratic society.

A characteristic that sets AASCU apart from other associations is the personal involvement of our presidents and chancellors and their senior leadership teams. Our activities are focused in five broad areas:

    • Promoting student success innovation
    • Providing public policy and advocacy
    • Creating communities of experience
    • Building leadership capacity and diversity
    • Providing subject matter expertise

    Partnering With AASCU

AASCU’s Office of Corporate Partnerships was created in 2014 in recognition of the mutually beneficial impact of information exchange, thought partnership, and cooperation between corporations, nonprofit organizations, and higher education leaders. We offer a wide range of opportunities to connect with key decision-makers, from program sponsorship and visibility to deep collaboration on research and thought leadership.

We are grateful for the longstanding support of many of corporate partners who have brought valuable thought leadership and resources to our members, and we welcome new partners who share our values and deep commitment to equitable student success.

Our commitment is to build long-term strategic partnerships with a win-win-win mindset—a win for AASCU members and the students and communities they serve, a win for our partners, and a win for AASCU in helping us continue this important work.

There are several ways to engage as a corporate partner.

Members of AASCU’s Strategic Partner Program benefit from unique engagement opportunities and direct access to AASCU campus leaders. Strategic Partners are recognized based on their annual contribution to AASCU of $10,000 or more.

Select Diamond- and Platinum-Level Strategic Partners are invited to join the Thought Leader Council, a working group of industry-leading experts created to investigate, diagnose, and solve the most pressing issues in higher education.
